Drunken rally lights added after too many beers and a Harbor Freight sale. Yes they work. Drove it daily to work for two years. Never had a key. Radio shack toggle switches ran everything, ignition, wipers, turn signals.

Here it is acting as a personal utility vehicle. Without the passenger seat, you can fit 20ft of cedar fence in here. Not recomended for highway driving.
